Portfolio
Kia ora koutou — I make bright, slightly warped characters and objects that look like they’ve been left out in the sun too long. I like colour, soft edges, and characters that feel one step away from doing something questionable.
Illustration
My illustration style is bold, colorful, and slightly unhinged. I like taking playful, cartoon-inspired visuals and melting things, stretching anatomy, giving inanimate objects too much personality. Bright palettes, clean lines, and strong shapes are my comfort zone.
Animation
I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with animation. I loathe the process of creating it, but I love seeing it completed. I accidentally learnt how to animate while studying 3D modelling, working primarily in After Effects. Since then, I’ve continued to build on those skills through graphic and motion design work with a range of companies.
Painting
I paint on reclaimed window panes sourced from the roadside or picked up on Trade Me for a dollar. Using acrylic on glass, each piece is unique and varies in shape and size.
Learning Design
I work full-time as a learning designer, constantly exploring new possibilities for what training can be—from illustration and animation to simulated games and virtual reality.
Design
I’ve worked in the graphic design industry for 10 years, including freelance projects. I’m passionate about visual design and bring a distinct illustrative style to my work.
Tattoo
I’ve been tattooing for a couple of years and am self-taught. I wouldn’t call myself an artist just yet, but I enjoy creating flash designs and bringing them to life through tattooing.
